Our Backyard!

 Hello Bloggers, since the pandemic we haven't been able to fly in or out of the country. This has caused local businesses that are more for tourists to suffer. So we made a radio ad challenging kiwis to explore their own backyard, which means go and visit another part of New Zealand to have fun and support businesses there. We chose the region Manawatu since it's kind of a forgotten part of New Zealand and it's actually a pretty cool place.

This Wednesday I learned how to have a basic conversation in Samoan and made an animation to show you how to as well!

Translations:

• Talofa - Hello

• O ā mai ‘oe? - How are you?

• Manuia, fa’afetai - Well, thank you

• Manuia fo’i fa’afetai - I’m fine also, thank you

• Manuia le aso - Have a good day

• Tōfā - Goodbye

This Wednesday we made programs on how to count from 1-10 in Samoan on scratch!
All you have to do is put in any number from 1-10 and Berry the Bear will tell you the number.
The number will pop up for 5 seconds then you can put in another number!
