This week I only had 3 days of school since Monday was ANZAC day and Tuesday was Teacher only day.
For math, we learned about how to use a Cartesian plane and how to do transformations on it.
I found these tasks relatively easy since I was already familiar with Cartesian planes.
The first two transformations we looked at on the Cartesian Plane were Translation and Reflection, and on Monday we'll be looking at Resizing and Rotation.
The images above are three shapes and the transformations of them.
For Literacy this week we looked into the themes of Perseverance and Home from The Wizard of Oz.
These are my answers to some perseverance questions,
And the questions on the theme of home.
You may notice it says Q2 & Q3 that's because the first question is to do with the end of the book and I haven't quite finished yet.
Last but not least for Friday Fun day I made a board game and a made-up animal.
I can't include a picture of the board game because I haven't coloured it yet, but I can show you the rules for 'Escape the Upside-down'
*Sorry I can't, it won't let me send through the email.*
For my animal, I made a Zataphant which is a cross between a Cat, Zebra, and an Elephant.
*Same here :'(*
That's all for this week!
See you next week!
Hey Kasey, well done, you have been completing some great work! It's really cool to see and hear everything you have been up to. Your maths and literacy work looks great, I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into all of your tasks. Don't forget to double check any spelling underlined in red before posting. Are you enjoying reading the Wizard of Oz? That's a shame we can't see your game or animal. Your Zataphant sounds like such an interesting cross of animals! Your game, Escape the Upside-down, sounds like so much fun too. I love Stranger Things. Have you been playing it with your bubble? Keep up the great work. Caitlin :)
